Multi cylinder Petrol Engine Test Rig with Eddy Current Dynamometer/Dc Generator (Electrical Dynamometer) (Both Conventional Measurement & Control and Computer Controlled)

The test rig is useful in determination various conditions of Engine and all the conditions are simulated, and various engine parameters are studied, computed and curves are plotted. Entire engine test rig is computerized and various sophisticated transducers are employed to sense various engine parameters. A LATEST USER FRIENDLY, SPECIALLY DEVELOPED SOFTWARE, gives all graphical, Digital representations. TEST SOFTWARE gives all graphical, Digital representations. TEST RIG is complete with engine coupled to either eddy current dynamometer or electrical dynamometer, about 10 HP15 HP respectively. all measuring systems like fuel, air, temperature, pressure etc., Digital control panel, exhaust gas calorimeter and with MORSE TEST Apparatus.

Specifications:
A. Engine: MARUTHI ENGINE, Petrol Engine, 4 cylinders, 4 strokes, vertical, water cooled to develop 10 HP, about 1800cc/1100cc or 789cc respectively.
1. Engine Accessories: All Engine accessories like charging dynamo, starter motor, Distributor, Carburetor, Fuel pump, Air filter, and exhaust pipe are provided.
2. Auto Electrical Panel: It comprises battery, battery stand, battery cables, bottle coil, solenoid switch, DC Cut-out, indicator, ignition switch, oil pressure gauge, fuel level indicator, battery amps meter and necessary wirings.
C. Conventional Fuel Measuring System: It comprises fuel tank, with fuel level Sensor, main valve, piping, Burette 0-50 cc, 3 way blocks, with cocks etc., with this arrangement it is possible to allow fuel.
1. From tank to engine directly
2. To fill from tank to burette.
3. From Burette to Engine Fuel Pump.
D. Conventional Air Measurement System: It comprises air tank made from MS Sheets, fitted with diaphragm, Brass orifice as per BS-1042, a differential manometer with water fil, scale, nozzle, etc.,
E. Exhaust gas calorimeter: It is basically a Heat Exchanger of Shell and Coil type, exhaust gas are passed in shell and water is allowed inside a copper pipe made in the form of coil. All inlet and outlet temperature measurements and water flow rates are measured to determine quantity of exhaust gas.
F. DYNAMOMETERS: EDDY CURRENT DYNAMOMETER: Dynaspeed make 10HP with all accessories, speed indicator, coupling, spring balance and all attachments and covered unit.
G. Electrical Panel:
All digital motors are mounted on a specially made control panel frame is with trolley & can be moved freely around test rig.
H. Loading Arrangement: Resistance type load bank is provided to load DC Generator in steps of 1 HP, with switching arrangements, indicator lamps adequate cooling arrangement, fuses etc.,
For Electrical Dynamometer only.
Computerized Control System: With this system loading and unloading of the test rig, can be carried out Fuel consumption, air consumptions are all indicated on digital meter, which is sensed by load cells, anemometer respectively. All water flow for engine cooling and for exhaust gas calorimeter is measured in a digital meter with load cell arrangement and water tank.
Fuel will be measuring in digital and water circulation shall be done through Rotameter 3.30 LPM
Loading: It is also computerized.
Acceleration: It is also computerized and throttling can be controlled either manually or by computer using DC Stepper motor.
All temperature at various points is measured in digital temperature indicator and also in computer terminal.
Pressure of the cylinder is measured & monitored on terminal. Engine (Crank) angle diagram can also be computed. Various curves are plotted by using different results and all the results are printed on printer.
System Software: It is user-friendly software having capability of controlling entire engine test rig, measuring various data, computing all data, to plot all curves, etc.,
Computer: A general PC PIV with color Monitor, mini tower type processor, FDD, CD ROM are provided along with inkjet printer.
Cables: All interfacing cables, adapters are provided.
